Krishankant Ji
I was born and raised in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, India, and currently reside in Vrindavan in my Ashram. I have a Post Graduate degree in Acharya from Sampurnanand Sanskrit University in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, a Post Graduate degree in Journalism and Mass Communication from Banaras Hindu University in Uttar Pradesh, and a Bachelor's degree in Shastri from Sampurnanand Sanskrit University in Uttar Pradesh. I have also been awarded the title of Bhagwat Acharya from the late Dr. Shivkaran Panday (Guruji) in Vrindavan. My schooling was in Vedic Karam Khand from Maharishi Mahesh Yogi Sansthan in Kashi, Varanasi. Combining my knowledge of Sanskrit with a scientific temper, I have conducted fresh research into the teachings of the rishis.
I am the founder of Bhavani Shankar SewaDham (NGO) in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, and I am dedicated to spreading the teachings of Vedic Sanskrit. I travel widely for Dharam Shiksha and have visited various Dhams, including Kamakhya Shakti Pith, Narmada Parikrama, Dwadash Joytriling Prakram, and Chardham Parikrama.
One of my main interests is performing rituals such as homa (fire ritual), pitri tarpan (oblations to ancestors), and Bhagwat Katha. As a Vedantin, I emphasize internal transformation over external things, and I recognize the usefulness of some external rituals in facilitating internal transformation, particularly the efficacy of Fire. In addition to the traditional ritual of homa, I also teach Fire Yoga, a religion-agnostic method of worshipping God through Fire. My spiritual guru is Lahari Baba from GuptKashi in Uttar Pradesh.
